Our studio is located next door to School Days uniform shop, in the unit above the Hospice Shop. Please note we do not currently have external signage.

Parking Information:
There is limited parking available in the on-site car park, particularly during peak hours. Additional parking (127 spaces) is available just across the road at Farmley Park.

Tuesday Under 8 is designed for dancers who have progressed beyond our Level classes and are continuing to develop their Irish dancing within our Under 8 competitive programme.

Classes focus on refining technique, improving rhythm, musicality, stamina, presentation, and performance quality while encouraging every dancer to reach their individual potential in a positive and supportive environment.

With regular attendance and commitment, students continue to strengthen their technical ability while developing resilience, confidence, discipline, teamwork, and a lifelong love of Irish dance.

Who Is This Class For?

This class is suitable for dancers who have been advised to join the Tuesday Under 8 class by Miss Judith.

Class Placement

Tuesday Under 8 is a progression class.

If your child currently attends JK Irish Dance, please refer to your WhatsApp message confirming the appropriate class for the 2026/2027 dance season.

If you are new to JK Irish Dance, Miss Judith will assess your child's previous experience and advise on the most appropriate class before registration.

Placement is always at the discretion of the teaching team to ensure every dancer is training safely and at the correct level.

Class Independence Requirements

This is a fully independent "drop and go" class.

Children must be:
-Comfortable attending without a parent or guardian
-Fully toilet trained and able to use the toilet independently in line with our child protection policies
-Parents and guardians are not permitted to remain in the studio during class, helping to provide a calm, consistent, and supportive learning environment for every child.

At JK Irish Dance, we care for every child as if they were our own. Their wellbeing, safety, and development remain at the heart of everything we do.

Uniform

Students are expected to attend every class wearing the correct regulation JK Irish Dance uniform.

Uniform includes:

Fees & Registration

The 2026/2027 registration fee includes a £15 annual registration fee.
If your child is enrolled in both Irish Dancing and Ballet, please note these operate as separate schools and a separate annual registration fee is payable for each discipline.

Registration payments are processed during office hours. As all administration is personally managed by Miss Judith, processing will be completed as soon as possible.
