Developing advanced strength, rhythm, precision, and powerful heavy shoe technique.
Thursday Heavy Work - Class Two is an exclusive supplementary technical class designed for dancers who have been invited to continue developing their heavy shoe technique alongside their regular weekly Irish dancing class.

Class Placement
Thursday Heavy Work – Class Two is a supplementary progression class.
Students should also be enrolled in one of our regular Irish dancing classes, as Heavy Work is designed to complement-not replace-their core weekly training.
Placement is always at the discretion of the teaching team to ensure every dancer is training safely, confidently, and at the most appropriate level.
Class Independence Requirements
This is a fully independent "drop and go" class.
Children must be:
-Comfortable attending without a parent or guardian
-Fully toilet trained and able to use the toilet independently in line with our child protection policies
-To maintain a calm, consistent, and supportive learning environment, parents and guardians are not permitted to remain in the studio during class.
-Allowing one parent to remain can cause confusion or upset for other children. To ensure every child feels secure and settled, all students attend independently.
At JK Irish Dance, we care for every child as if they were our own. Their wellbeing, safety, and development remain at the heart of everything we do.
Uniform
-Students are expected to attend every class wearing the correct regulation JK Irish Dance uniform.
Uniform includes:
-JK Irish Dance T-shirt
-Heavy shoes (when advised by the teaching team)
Please do not purchase heavy shoes until your child has been advised to do so by Miss Judith. The correct style and fit are important, and we are happy to recommend the most suitable shoes before you make your purchase.
Uniform items are available through our online shop:
