Parking Information:
There is limited parking available in the on-site car park, particularly during peak hours. Additional parking (127 spaces) is available just across the road at Farmley Park.

Developing confidence, coordination, and a lifelong love of Irish dance. Our Beginners Irish Dancing classes provide a welcoming, structured, and encouraging introduction to Irish dance for children aged 3 years and over. Led by experienced teachers in a fun, supportive environment, classes focus on developing strong technical foundations while nurturing confidence, musicality, coordination, fitness, and friendships. Whether your child simply wants to dance for fun or dreams of competing one day, every dancer is encouraged to achieve their own personal best. With regular attendance, children not only improve their dancing ability but also develop valuable life skills including confidence, resilience, teamwork, discipline, and independence. Who Is This Class For? This class is perfect for: -Complete beginners -Advancing beginners -Children in the early stages of their Irish dancing journey -Children aged 3 years and over -Children who are comfortable attending class independently What Beginners Irish Dancing Develops -Our Beginners Irish Dancing programme helps children build strong foundations while developing important skills that benefit them both inside and outside the dance studio. Students develop: -Rhythm and timing -Coordination and balance -Posture and technique -Confidence and independence -Fitness and stamina -Musicality -Listening and concentration -Teamwork and friendships What's Included -Weekly Irish dancing classes led by qualified, experienced teachers -A structured programme designed for beginners -A reward system to encourage effort, progress, and achievement -Opportunities to perform at class festivals and school events -Festival and performance opportunities throughout the year -Competitive pathways for students who wish to progress further -Holiday camps, discos, and social events -A welcoming dance family where every child is known by name Progression As dancers develop confidence and ability, they have the opportunity to progress through our recreational, festival, competitive, performance, and championship pathways. Every student is encouraged to work towards their own goals, whether dancing for enjoyment, fitness, friendship, festivals, performances, or competitive success. New to JK Irish Dance? General Registration Opens Monday 29th June for Non-Members. Class Independence Requirements This is a fully independent "drop and go" class. Children must be: -Comfortable attending without a parent or guardian -Fully toilet trained and able to use the toilet independently in line with our child protection policies -To maintain a calm, consistent, and supportive learning environment, parents and guardians are not permitted to remain in the studio during class. -Allowing one parent to stay can cause confusion or upset for other children. To ensure every child feels secure and settled, all students in this class attend independently. At JK Irish Dance, we care for every child as if they were our own. Their wellbeing, safety, and development remain at the heart of everything we do. Trial Classes Children may attend a one-off trial class for £9. Trial classes must be booked through Class4Kids. Please ensure you select the correct class and date, as trial bookings are strictly non-transferable and non-refundable. Uniform Children may attend their trial class wearing comfortable clothing suitable for movement. Following your child's trial class, the regulation uniform is required for all subsequent classes. Fees & Registration The 2026/2027 registration fee includes a £15 annual registration fee. If your child is enrolled in both Irish Dancing and Ballet, please note that these operate as separate schools and a separate annual registration fee is payable for each discipline. Registration payments are processed during office hours. As all administration is personally managed by Miss Judith, processing will be completed as soon as possible.
