Baby Ballet helps to develop: -S …moretrength & stamina -Coordination & flexibility -Vocabulary -Discipline -Confidence -Friendship Baby Ballet is suitable for children who are walking, right through to those children who are not yet at primary school and wish to attend a fun and engaging morning activity with a parent or guardian. To get maximum enjoyment from the class we recommend that the children participating is confidently walking. The Baby Ballet programme is parent lead and a parent must attend. This allows a child to build a great foundation and sense of security within their dancing through the parent supporting their child’s learning. This is an excellent way to introduce your child to the wonderful world of ballet in a fun and engaging way. Children who are a suitable age for the class can only attend on a one-off basis if they pay the price of the class of £7 is payable upon entry, an exception to this is a baby of six months and under. We have a ratio of one adult: one child. The ratio remains the same where there is a sibling attending on a one-off basis, no additional adult can attend in this instance. Our highly experienced and enthusiastic teaching faculty deliver a programme which has been created specifically for this age group which will develop your child’s co-ordination, muscle-tone and rhythm. In addition to this, your child’s self-esteem and confidence will flourish as our programme allows your child to communicate their thoughts, feelings and ideas in a non-verbal way. Baby Ballet includes: Fun and engaging classes weekly with a fully qualified and insured teacher Reward system weekly to motivate and encourage the children Opportunity to socialise and form friendships with likeminded parents Opportunity to participate in recitals and seasonal social events Chance to progress up through the school as your child grows There is a regulation uniform and a full uniform is available to order through the school. This class follows the Associated Board of Dance (A.B.D.) Pre-Preparatory Ballet syllabus, and is aimed at children age 3-5 years. The child must be comfortable in being left at class without a parent/guardian and confident at being able to go to the toilet without intervention of an adult (in-ke …moreeping with child protection policies). Please note that this class is a fully independent class i.e. the child must be comfortable in staying at class without a parent. The class is 'drop & go' - strictly no exceptions. Once you have registered, if not already known to the school we will get in touch with you to confirm that your child meets the prerequisites. If they do not meet these, they must attend the Baby Ballet class where a parent / guardian accompanies the child, but of course this is subject to availability. Our Little Jiggers class is a fun and engaging introduction to Irish dancing, designed for both boys and girls, suitable for confident walkers up to pre-school age. This class is ideal for complete beginners as well as children who are still in the early stages of their Irish dancing journey. Thr …moreough music and movement, children develop key physical skills such as balance, coordination, and rhythm, alongside early learning skills like counting, focus, listening, and following instructions — all in a supportive and joyful environment. As a Festival Irish Dancing School, we maintain a natural approach to presentation: -Wigs, fake tan, and makeup are not permitted. -While many of our dancers enjoy participating in competitions, competitive dancing is entirely optional. Children are equally welcome to attend for enjoyment, fitness, and friendship. -We are proud to be a cross-community school, with a strong ethos of promoting inclusivity, respect, and unity through dance. Important Information: -This is a parent/guardian-supported class, with a strict 1 adult: 1 child ratio. The same adult does not need to stay each week. -A parent/responsible adult is required to stay for the duration of the session. -We allow a small baby (6 months and under) to accompany a parent in a carrier for feeding purposes, but unfortunately, we cannot accommodate additional children beyond this age group. -After the trial period, a pair of black festival-style pumps and a school t-shirt will be required (both available to purchase directly from the school).
